Surfers Rules
Surfing is the great equalizer between us: We are all from different places and social status, but in the water, we are all the same!
Paddling Out
Paddle around the breaking wave. Stay clear of surfers on the wave. If caught inside, go through the white water.
Right Of Way
The surfer closest to the breaking part of the wave may go.
Communicate
Tell other surfers if you are going for the wave and in which direction.
Hold Onto Your Board
Always hold onto your board, and surf within your limits.
Do Not Snake
If somebody is already riding the wave, do not take off behind them closer to the peak.
Do Not Drop In
If a surfer is riding the wave, do not paddle for that one. If you have just caught a wave, wait your turn before taking another.
